Biblical Role of Women
Proverbs 11:16
A kindhearted woman gains respect, but ruthless men gain only wealth.
Proverbs 12:4
A wife of noble character is her husband's crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones
Proverbs 14:1
The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
1 Timothy 3:11
In the same way, their wives are to be women worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.
Titus 2:4-5
These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to care for their homes, be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the Word of God.
Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD. Proverbs 31:10-12 and 25-31 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.
She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
"Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all."
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Give her the reward she has earned,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. (NIV) "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty" (Psalm 91:1) "Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him" (Psalm 127:3). "I lift up my eyes to the hillswhere does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot sliphe who watchesover you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep" (Psalm 121:1-4) | |
